Teresa Scassa
Dr Teresa Scassa is the Canada Research Chair in Information Law and Policy at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. She is the author or co-author of several books, including Artificial Intelligence and the Law in Canada (Toronto: LexisNexis, 2021); Digital Commerce in Canada (Toronto: LexisNexis, 2020); and Canadian Trademark Law, 2nd ed (Toronto: LexisNexis, 2015). She is a member of Canada’s Advisory Council on Artificial Intelligence and serves or has served on a number of other federal and provincial advisory panels related to information law issues. Her current research examines issues in artificial intelligence, digital and data govern- ance, privacy, and intellectual property law.
