Parveen Gill
Dr. Parveen Gill , PhD, CHRL, has over 35 years of diverse experience spanning corporate and academic landscapes and brings a rich blend of Canadian and international perspectives to teaching and learning. Dr Gill holds an MA in economics, an MPhil in economics, and a PhD in industrial relations, along with the Certified Human Resources Leader desigation from the Human Resources Professionals Association.
She has worked in the financial services industry and is currently a professor at the Longo Faculty of Business, Humber Polytechnic, where she also acts as the program coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management and the Bachelor of Commerce–Human Resources Management programs. She strongly believes in experiential and differentiated learning methodologies that connect theory to real-world applications. Her career exemplifies a deep commitment to educational excellence and a passion for developing career-ready graduates who thrive in dynamic workplaces.
Beyond academia, Dr Gill has been an active mentor in the Mentoring Partnership Program by TRIEC (Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council) since 2009, completing 12 successful mentorships. Her ongoing dedication to empowering newcomers and fostering professional growth underscores her lifelong commitment to advancing inclusive and impactful learning communities.
