Luciana Brasil

Luciana Brasil, JD (São Paulo, Brazil), LLB (Victoria), is a partner at Branch MacMaster LLP, where she practises primarily in the area of class action litigation. Ms. Brasil has a dual practice and more than ten years' experience acting for both plaintiffs and defendants in class actions involving a wide range of allegations and claims, including price-fixing claims, statutory claims, criminal rate of interest claims, mass tort, and product liability. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Ms. Brasil obtained a civil-law degree and practised litigation there before moving to Canada and obtaining her common-law law degree at the University of Victoria. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Society of Alberta, and their Brazilian equivalent (Order dos Advogados do Brasil, São Paulo chapter). When she is not working with or fighting Canada's best class action lawyers, Ms. Brasil teaches the class actions and mass torts course at the University of British Columbia as an adjunct professor.
