Ionela Bacain
Ionela Bacain has been a professor at Humber College for over eleven years, teaching graduate-level accounting courses. Prior to joining Humber, she worked as an accountant in a variety of private sector organizations. Through these experiences, she continues to champion the value of accounting knowledge for individuals, organizations, and society as a whole.
Actively engaged in advancing constructive workplace and accounting practices, Ionela believes that collaboration and shared purpose can drive meaningful change. Her teaching philosophy is designed to support both the human and technical requirements for students entering this challenging profession. She is a longtime Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a PhD in Accounting from “Al. I. Cuza” University in Romania.
