Gargi Mukherji
Gargi Mukherji is a full-time law professor at Sheridan College’s School of Public Safety in the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies. She teaches in Police Foundations Program, and previously taught in the Paralegal Program and the Honours Bachelor of Community Safety Degree at Sheridan College. She holds an LLB degree from the University of Manitoba, and a BEd and an MEd from the University of Windsor. She has more than ten years of experience as a Crown Prosecutor in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Windsor, Ontario, and as in-house Counsel for the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society. Gargi has also developed law courses for and has taught at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, and enjoys coaching students in mock trial competitions. She is currently a mentor to law students at Toronto Metropolitan University. Gargi’s specific areas of practice, education, and interest are in criminal law and procedure, evidence and investigation, and child protection law and advocacy.
