Curt T. Griffiths

Curt T. Griffiths is Professor Emeritus in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University. His research focuses on the Canadian criminal justice system, organization and operational dimensions of police work in Canada and internationally, criminal justice in the Canadian north, and the development of crime prevention and crime response strategies for police services and communities. Insights into systems of corrections were assisted by teaching for several years in a university education program for incarcerated persons in the US, serving as a community sponsor for persons released from Canadian federal institutions, and serving a five-year term as a member of the now-disbanded BC Board of Parole. He is the author of Canadian Criminal Justice: A Primer and co-author with Joshua J. Murphy of Canadian Police Work, both published in new editions by Emond.
