Barbara Legate

Barbara Legate has practiced all forms of personal injury and medical negligence litigation throughout her 45-year career. She is recognized as a pre-eminent practitioner having been recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada, L’Expert, The Best Law Firms in Canada, and named Lawyer of the Year in Personal Injury by The Best Lawyers in Canada on 5 occasions. The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, Ontario Bar Association and Litigation Counsel of America have all recognized Barbara with career-based awards and honours. The LSO named Barbara to the Civil Rules Committee. She was the first female president of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and has held positions of leadership in it and the Advocates Society, as well as chairing conferences and giving 100s of presentations across Canada.
