About Our Ebooks

Ebooks

Most Emond titles are available in ebook format. Use the search bar on the right to find your item, and scroll to the bottom of the product page to view the format options.

Our ebooks are designed to offer convenience and affordability for students, instructors, and practitioners. They offer many of the same advantages as hardcopy texts, including the ability to highlight, annotate, and bookmark, as well as additional features such as keyword searching, active hyperlinks, printing, and lightweight portability.

Click the Specifications tab to view product details, device compatibility, download requirements, and sales policies.

Click the Features tab to learn how to highlight, annotate, search, and bookmark your ebooks.

Click the Instructions tab for details on how to download and access ebooks.

If you have additional questions about our ebooks or require further assistance with the download process, please email us at help@emond.ca.

Format

Ebooks are provided in PDF format. This format preserves illustrative diagrams and charts as well as sample forms and precedents, and also maintains pagination so that ebook page numbers correspond to hardcopy page numbers.

Compatibility

All of our ebooks are readable using Adobe Digital Editions, a free, downloadable ebook-reading application that is required in order to access them and load them onto smartphones, tablets, and computers. Free download here.

Emond ebooks are compatible with most devices, including Apple, Android, and Kobo products. Click here to view the complete list of compatible devices. Please note that Emond ebooks are not compatible with Kindle eReaders.

Downloads

Once you have purchased your ebook, you have two downloads. For download instructions, please view the Instructions tab above.

Printing

Emond ebooks are print-enabled, to a maximum of ten pages at a time at ten second intervals.

Ebook Licences

Ebooks may be purchased with either a one-year or an extended licence. A one-year licence gives you access to the ebook for one year from the date of download, and you have one year from the date of purchase to initiate your download. With an extended licence, your ebook will never expire. Once you have downloaded it, you will have access to it indefinitely.

PIN Cards and Ebook Bundles

Many Emond casebooks include an ebook version with purchase, which you may redeem once you have received your hardcopy text. The ebook version is accessible with a PIN code, which is printed on a card within the front cover of your book. For instructions on accessing your ebook once you have received the book and its accompanying PIN code, view the Instructions tab.

Please note that a PIN code can only be redeemed once, so if you purchase a used copy of the text and the PIN code has already been redeemed by the previous owner, you will not be able to access the ebook.

Sales Policy

All ebooks are final sale.

Purchasing and Downloading an Ebook

To find out if the title you are interested in is offered in ebook format, click the green Prices button on the product page. A one-year licence gives you access to the book for one year from the date of download, and you have one year from the date of purchase to initiate your download. With an extended licence, your ebook will never expire. Once you have downloaded it, you will have access to it indefinitely. Once you have purchased your ebook, you can access it by:

  2. Log into your account on www.emond.ca. Once you have logged in, click My Books in the upper right corner of the screen.

Only click this once to avoid expending your additional download. You will be prompted to download a file, URLLink.acsm, which should open automatically in Adobe Digital Editions. Adobe Digital Editions will then complete the download of your ebook.

Note: We strongly advise that you download your ebooks using a home Internet connection, because some Internet servers (such as your school or business server) have firewalls that block the download of unrecognized applications.
